Berfin Gulcek focuses her practice on corporate and commercial matters, advising international businesses on U.S.-related transactions.

She advises companies and investors on a broad range of corporate matters, including the formation and maintenance of business entities, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic corporate transactions..

Berfin’s practice includes the preparation and review of commercial contracts, corporate documentation, as well as corporate policies and advice regarding governance structures and legal compliance.

She also assists in connection with real estate transactions, such as the acquisition, disposition, leasing and subleasing of commercial properties, including office space, warehouses, showrooms, retail stores, productions facilities and other properties.  She also provides legal support in connection with the financing of real estate transactions, primarily on behalf of borrowers. 

In addition, Berwin supports clients in connection with employment and data protection, privacy and other regulatory issues under the U.S. federal, state and local laws.

Prior to joining Reiss+Co., Berfin practiced at a leading law firm in Istanbul, advising domestic and international clients on corporate, commercial and cross-border matters.

Berfin holds an LL.M. in International Business and Trade Law from the Fordham University School of Law and an LL.B. (with Honors) from the Yeditepe University School of Law.
